Author Guidelines
Pre-Submission:
Before you submit your manuscript, consider sending the Editor an email to identify interest in your topic. You will also find that the Editor is willing to suggest resources to you, and to introduce you to the peer review and publication process.
Since this is a journal designed to promote student learning and scholarship, we understand that many of the submissions are derived from course assignments. This usually means that a faculty member or clinical instructor reviewed your assignment and perhaps offered feedback. This means that if you want to submit to the INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF NURSING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP, you will need to discuss possible publication with the appropriate faculty member or instructor. You need to either: 1) obtain email confirmation that they are not interested in submitting the manuscript for publication, or 2) invite them to be a co-author with you, and thereby provide additional feedback for the final manuscript for submission to our journal.
Please register for the journal at https://journalhosting.ucalgary.ca/index.php/ijnss/user/register . This is required for an online submission of your manuscript. Check whether you already have an account in the system before trying to create a new one.
The INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF NURSING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP is an online only journal. This strategy significantly reduces the lead time between submission and publication.
