Two Vignettes of Minority Group Education in Canada

The Canadian Charter of Human Rights and· Freedoms, 1982, powerfully affects the future prospects of all minority groups in Canada.
The author of this paper selects two such groups for consideration, one relating to languages , the other to physical/mental handicap. She discusses each from the view point of politics, economics, and public attitudes. The paper concludes on a note of cautious optimisim.
