DOI:

This paper traces the development of analytic philosophy of education during the last three decades. It identifies the two major stages of its development (I 950- I 964 and 1964- 1985), the characteristics of these stages, and the criticisms launched against analytic philosophy of education. It is argued that the recent criticisms of analytic philosophy of education are outdated and somewhat mi directed and have thus misrepresented the nature of contemporary work in the field.Downloads
