DOI:

The paper examines the relationship between dependency and education, and the extent to which the modem educational systems as operated in the third word reinforce dependency. Some fundamental questions relating to the issues of foreign aid to education (i.e. capital and technical assistance), language and training and the way they reproduce and perpetuate dependency in education are critically explored. Suggestions on how to tack le some of the questions raised in the paper are made to facilitate the efforts of third world governments in making the education relevant to third world people.Downloads
