Galen Perras, Department of History, University of Ottawa
Dr. Galen Perras received his PhD at the University of Waterloo. His research interests include 20th Century US Military History, Canadian-American relations, and the Second World War in the Pacific. His publications include Stepping Stones to Nowhere: The Aleutian Islands, Alaska, and American Military Strategy 1867-1945 (UBC Press, 2003); Franklin Roosevelt and the Origins of the Canadian-American Security Alliance: Necessary But Not Necessary Enough (Praeger, 1998); and articles published in The Northern Mariner, War & Society, Journal of Military History, Pacific Northwest Quarterly, The Canadian Journal of History, The Journal of American and Canadian History, and several edited monographs.
