Scott Nicholas Romaniuk is affiliated with the University of Aberdeen, Department of Politics and International Relations, and the University of St. Andrews, Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence. He is a specialist in the fields of Military and Strategic Studies, and International Security and Politics. His current research foci include issues related to genocide, ethnic conflict, political violence, religious extremism, and terrorism in the contemporary geopolitical world. His books include The Second Front, 1943-1944 (2010), Competing Powers: Security in the Wider Black Sea Region (2011), New Polar Horizons: Conflict and Security in the Arctic (2011), and Global Arctic: Sovereignty and the Future of the North (2012).
