Les principaux facteurs qui empêchent, bloquent ou ralentissent l’obtention d’un statut professionnel pour les enseignants en Amérique du Nord

Partout en Amérique du Nord et en Europe ainsi que dans la plupart des pays anglo-saxons, on observe depuis les années 1980 l’existence d’un vaste mouvement de professionnalisation de l’enseignement. Pourtant, trente ans plus tard, on constate que les corps enseignants des pays concernés par ce mouvement sont, pour la plupart, loin d’avoir acquis un statut professionnel comparable aux professions établies comme la médecine, le droit ou l’ingénierie. Ce texte présente une réflexion autour d’une question : quels sont les principaux facteurs qui empêchent, bloquent ou ralentissent l’obtention de ce statut professionnel pour les enseignants en Amérique du Nord?
