As regards their foreign student population was one of assimilation into the Protestant, British-Canadian cultural milieu of the city. Consequently, the educators who staffed the schools' classrooms worked diligently towards that end. The foreigners tried to inhibit the assimilative efforts, but with the help of Protestant missionaries and the support of society in general, the schools were just too strong to be effectively opposed.Téléchargements
