The relationship between teaching and research is extremely important to colleges and universities especially with changing expectations of faculty performance. This piece summarizes the results of empirical studies that have tried to measure this association; most did not find a significant relationship. However, measures of teaching effectiveness are generally inadequate ignoring those aspects of teaching that are most likely to benefit from research activity.Téléchargements
